Snow gently falling
the world outside was covered in white
Inside
she cradled a bundle in her arms
as she thought about the man
who gave her the world

She smiled as her mind took her back
to the spring of 1992
"I was under the impression that you were sent to spy on me"
he had said
That may have been true
but that was the beginning of something beautiful

She kissed her sleeping child
as she went back in time once again
"Even when the world was falling apart, you were my constant, my touchstone"
he had told her
She had replied with, "and you are mine"
He still was

Standing in front of the window
she gazed at the winter wonderland outside
and felt strong arms encircle
both her and the sleeping child in her arms

"Merry Christmas"
he whispered against her skin
Turning in his arms
she gently kissed his lips
"Merry Christmas"
she whispered as she gazed at him,
all the love she had for him shining in her eyes

She lay their sleeping child in his crib
and stood with the man she would love for all eternity
to gaze at the product of their love and devotion,
still amazed at how lucky she was
to be the mommy of Andrew Christopher
and the wife of Fox William Mulder

...as the snow gently fell
