It's impossible to resist that adorable smirk of his. That lopsided, 
goofy grin that reveals his deepest desires, his earnest feelings. The 
look he gives only on special occasions. Only to me. I love that.

It's impossible to resist those gorgeous eyes of hers. That pool of 
deep blue, almost a mosaic of what lies in her heart, and what she 
is waiting for. The look she gives on special occasions. Only to me. 
That's my favorite thing in the world.

Sometimes, when we're alone, I wonder if maybe he's thinking what 
I'm thinking. If he really wants to kiss me like I want to kiss him. If 
it's hurting him not to... like it's hurting me. I wish I knew.

Whenever we're in a crowd, I ponder if maybe she can hear what I'm 
thinking. About wanting to touch her, to feel her soft skin under 
mine, and if she wants to do the same. About how much it kills me 
that I can't... and if it's killing her too. Oh, I wish I knew.

All it took was that simple smirk. In that one moment, everything 
changed. One moment, we're standing together, watching the 
countdown, the ball drop, the year end. Then, a smirk, his lips on 
mine. It was... heaven.

All it took was those two blue eyes. That gaze had me in the 
moment, all the noise of the tv, the countdown, the end of a 
millennium. Then, I kissed her. It was... paradise. 

Then it all changed.

All of it changed.
